The Monasteries of Yorkshire are outstanding in their beauty as ruins and the history has much to tell us. Through the year we visit a variety of monasteries, usually amongst these there is a visit to a functioning Monastery.  We spend some time (in the winter months) looking at aspects of the monastic life, discussing the different orders of monks and looking at their monasteries which we visit in the spring and summer months.  We meet on the first Thursday of every month.   The winter months at Millington Village Hall at 2.00pm before we make start making our visits to the different monasteries in April at 10.00am.
